Yele Oyekola

Co-Founder and CEO

Yele Oyekola, Co-Founder and CEO Yele began his career as a credit-focused Financial Analyst before moving to the United Nations supporting national governments in Africa on their economic policies.

In 2019, he founded a Buy-Now, Pay-Later startup for East Africa, Julla focused on helping e-commerce businesses start, manage and grow their business with ease.

Julla ran its operations till December 2020 and in January 2021, Yele took his learnings from Julla and joined Carbon as a Product Lead scaling their Buy-Now, Pay-Later product. Now, Yele is focused on building and scaling Duplo with the vision to be the premier payment rail powering global trade.

He holds a BA in Economics and Finance from the University of Reading, United Kingdom.

Tunde Akinnuwa

Co-Founder and CPO

Prior to co-founding Duplo, Tunde had two stints at Jumia; Product Manager for Jumia Lending and Head of Consumer Financial Services (Nigeria).

Tunde was the Country Manager at Seedstars where he helped launch fintech businesses like Quickcheck and Lendigo.

He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Information Systems from Northumbria University and an MBA from HEC Paris.
